Today in Greece there are seven 18-hole and one 9-hole courses. They are immersed in beautiful landscapes that are important tourist destinations, where you can combine holidays and sports.

In Costa Navarino, in the Region of Messenia, in the Peloponnese, there are three award-winning golf courses (Dunes, Bay, Hills) surrounded by idyllic nature with spectacular sea views. It opened in 2010 in full respect of the surrounding landscape.

Just 12 km from the city center of Athens, the Glyfada Golf Club enjoys beautiful views of the Saronic Gulf, with fairways surrounded by pine, cypress, olive and fig trees. Open all year, it is also the headquarters of the Hellenic golf federation.

In Corfu there is the Corfu Golf Club. A splendid natural habitat rich in rare birds such as heron and kingfisher, as well as other types of animals such as otters, which inhabit numerous waters of the Nausica river.

Going up north, in the Chalkidiki Peninsula, an obligatory choice is the prestigious Porto Carras Golf & Country Club in Sithonia, near Neas Marmaras. Open all year round, it is perfect for combining a golfing holiday with a good wine tasting: in Porto Carras, excellent quality native wines are produced!

The southernmost club in Europe closes the list. It is the newest and perhaps the most challenging golf course in Greece, The Crete Golf Club, in Hersonissos, a few kilometers away from the capital of Crete, Heraklion. It has 18 holes, a beautiful panoramic view of the island’s mountains and is open all year round.
